The Boutique

Style That Speaks For You

Tacey Collections is a small Nairobi boutique with a simple idea behind it: you should be able to buy something beautiful without guesswork, pressure, or paying a stranger up front.

How it started

Tacey Collections began the way most good things in Nairobi do — with a phone, a good eye, and word of mouth. Stacey started sourcing shoes and bags for friends who kept asking where she found hers. The requests did not stop, so the side hustle became a shelf, and the shelf became a boutique.

The website you are on now exists for one reason: so you can browse the whole collection properly, at your own pace, instead of scrolling back through a WhatsApp status that expired yesterday.

What we actually do

Every piece on this site is chosen by hand. There is no warehouse and no algorithm picking stock — if it is on the shelves, Stacey looked at it and decided it was worth your money.

  • Curated, not catalogued. Small runs of footwear, bags and clothing rather than endless pages of near-identical items.
  • Honest stock counts. The number you see is the number in hand. When something sells out, the site says so rather than taking your order anyway.
  • A real person on the other end. Your order goes to Stacey directly. You are not chatting with a bot or waiting on a ticket queue.
  • No payment before confirmation. You pay by M-Pesa only after your items are confirmed as available and reserved for you.

Why ordering runs on WhatsApp

Plenty of shops would rather you pay a checkout form and hope for the best. We do it the other way round, because for a boutique this size WhatsApp is genuinely better for you: you can ask whether the heels run small, request a photo in daylight, or ask for a different colour — and get an answer from the person holding the item.

Build your bag on the site, and the checkout button hands the whole list to Stacey in one message. Nothing is lost in translation, and you keep a written record of exactly what you asked for.

Delivery, sizing and the practical bits

We deliver across Kenya, with free self-pickup in Nairobi. Rates are published openly rather than being revealed at the last step.
